The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) joined hands with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and Department of Disease Control as well as the Ministry of Public Health to create a Covid-19 self-screening form as a tool for people to check whether they have a chance to be infected by Covid-19.

The online assessment form used questions based on the Ministry of Public Health’s guidelines for surveillance and investigation of Covid-19, which is easy to understand with immediate evaluation.

The system will reveal the evaluation results in three levels: Not infected by Covid-19; need to observe symptoms and see a doctor if there is discomfort or symptoms do not improve; need to see a doctor at the nearest hospital.

Meanwhile, citizens are giving importance to wearing face masks to protect themselves from PM2.5 dust particles and Covid-19, according to reports.

And please be completely honest when completing the forms.

How about a english edition and an online link ?  Another work in progress.

How long before the Thai government tells people that the masks most people use are totally ineffective against the virus? Does someone up there own shares in a mask company?

Also, the "screening form" developed by these four government bodies can be easily simplified: "Do you have a fever? If so, see doctor!"

yeah, they will report honestly just like all the people at the airport that bring in pounds of animals, prohibited fruits, vegetables, and other stuff.

imagine you do an online quiz.... and later the police is at your door ????

Just fill in your address and phone number down here and give us the same for your relatives, no worry it's just self screening

This is the exact opposite of advice given by the NHS in the UK. Do NOT go to hospital but self isolate and phone a special number. Hospital is the last place an infected person should visit.

Nearly as reliable as the official virus test...

At this point the numbers are pretty much for academic interest. Assume the virus is already circulating everywhere, practise good hand hygiene, self isolate if you have symptoms and go to hospital only if it gets worse. That's basically all you can do.

That's a good start. Next we'll need a self treatment guide so that those of us who are unfortunate enough to get infected can treat ourselves at home instead of overwhelming the hospitals. What do I need? A can of oxygen, some tubes to suck out excess fluids from my lungs? Anything else?

This will go down a storm with a lot of Thais.

A different game to play on the Mobi.

If it is this one:

then it is in Thai, English, and Chinese.

Why would they do that? or advise people that they're far more likely to pick up a virus on their hands riding the escalator, pressing lift buttons, opening the door leaving the toilet after washing hands... or remind them that this COVID virus is airborne and will go into their eyes if they don't wear swimming goggles when they go to a crowded Mall on Saturday???

It's comical.

Most carriers are asymptomatic.

the hardest evaluation;

would be those working within the Banking Front Door Security occupation!

the masks thing, is making the removal of full face helmets,

a massively redundant moot point

What was striking was how you are asked to remove your masks in security checks at the airport.

I'm real  concerned that the Japanese firefighter wearing a hazmat suit got the virus escorting the first positive cases off the cruise ship
