An anonymous donor has given 100 million baht to Pattaya Patamakun Hospital in Chon Buri, with the money earmarked for a new six-storey premium outpatient and inpatient building.

The government hospital announced the donation on 27 August. It said the planned building will provide about 4,350 square metres of usable space.

Hospital director Dr Wichai Thanasophon received the contribution on behalf of the hospital, together with doctors, nurses and other staff.

Funds set aside for new building

The hospital said the donation would support construction of the new facility and thanked the unnamed donor for helping improve healthcare services.

No construction timetable, completion date or further details about the range of services to be provided in the building were announced.

The proposed structure is intended to accommodate both outpatients, who attend for consultations or treatment without staying overnight, and inpatients requiring admission.

Pattaya Patamakun Hospital was formerly known as Bang Lamung Hospital. It is located in Bang Lamung district of Chon Buri province and operates as a government hospital under Thailand's Ministry of Public Health.

Hospital thanks unnamed benefactor

The donor chose not to be identified. The hospital did not provide information about the person or organisation behind the 100 million baht contribution.

Dr Wichai, doctors, nurses and hospital staff formally received the donation, according to the hospital's announcement.

Might be worth going to get registered there.

Good hospital already has 11+ buildings, i like the anonymous part

First visited during covid it was a shambles, last year went with a friend and it was very very good.

A good hospital with hard working doctors and nurses dealing with thousands of patients every weekday.

Hope the generosity of the donor improves conditions for patients and staff.

I just hope it all goes where it’s intended to go and not into bonuses for the people running the business. Keep it transparent and we will all be happy to see how this anonymous donor’s donations will improve the hospital, and their equipment, in order to help and save more people’s lives.

Needs more Drs and nurses, Dr i saw recently was using 4 rooms with patients in each one

I am glad that they didn't reveal me as the secret donor because I don't want any publicity or thanks for it I just wanted to help out the poor people..

Where the money comes from...legit or not..who cares provided it's used for a good cause with due monitoring on the expenses of the funds.
