Why has it become fashionable to bang on about anything bad Britain did during the colonial period? It comes from either self loathing Brits, or hypocritical French etc. I mean, there have been so many empires over the past couple of thousand years, the Vikings, the Romans, the Ottomans, the French, not to mention the Germans trying a couple of times for global domination. 

But it's always the Brits taking a bashing. Selective memories I think.

I see lots of antiquities have been returned to Cambodian, also a lot taken from Iraq & Syria. I was in Syria before this war, they'd done a great job of preserving a lot of that stuff.
