Thailand wants nationals out of China

The Foreign Affairs Ministry’s Department of Consular Affairs has advised Thais in China to leave the country as the Covid-19 coronavirus spreads.

 

Noting that the outbreak has been formally recognised as an international public health emergency, it has posted on Facebook on Wednesday (February 19) the contact information for the Thai Embassy in Beijing and all Thai consulates elsewhere in China.

 

The department urged Thais in China to leave while airlines are still operating.

 

“We also ask Thais to avoid travelling to China if there is no essential need,” it said. “We ask those who live in China to monitor the situation closely and follow the authorities’ instructions to prevent infection.”

If it’s got so bad to the extent their pleading with Thai nationals to get the hell out of there, and saying don’t travel there unless essential, then why are they still allowing Chinese nationals to enter Thailand?

Yup and come in BKK where no precautions at all are taken to stop the virus from spreading.

And at the same time they are offering free visas to Chinese hoping the will flock in their thousands to Thailand.  Umm Thais get the he'll out of China as they are infected but please bring as many Chinese with you as you can.
