I agree his hard core will remain. He was quite correct in observing how he could shoot someone and still have their support. Fortunately, however they are a distinct minority of American voters. I just reposted a Psychology Today article reporting the science behind his supporters thinking and motivations.

Both sides have a distinct minorities of voters. You have a serious thing happening here. A candidate who calls himself a socialist is running for President. He has to convince Americans, that he doesn't really mean it. That's a tough call. On the other hand he is making a lot of promises about Student loans etc, giving away stuff for votes as they say, that may give him numbers. I have not really took a hard look at state by state numbers, but I don't think they have any real meaning for either side right now. Trump's approval rating is one to watch. Really its gonna be about turnout. I think on either side, if voters become disaffected, apathetic to their candidate they are more likely to stay home then turn out and vote for the other side. The "fed up" effect.

or he could have an "accident"  not out of the question

We're not the United Kingdom and I do not think he is planning a trip to Paris.

Healthcare is the killer for trump. SS cuts too. Even lying will not help. Independents and urban females will be deciding factors. Tracy does look like a wild card.

Good riddance it is time to retire trump.

No one's getting M4A or free college either. The most that can be hoped for is democratic reform which needs to happen in order to accomplish anything else.

I am glad you brought this up. I am just reading news story  of a Yale University study that says

"The analysis, conducted by researchers at Yale University, the University of Florida and the University of Maryland, found that transitioning the U.S. to a single-payer health care system would actually save an estimated $450 billion each year, with the average American family seeing about $2,400 in annual savings. The research, which was published Saturday in the medical journal The Lancet, also found that Medicare for all would prevent about 68,000 unnecessary deaths per year. "

When i found out that the "middlemen" in healthcare were taking in 27% I knew where the problem was. AMA is the worlds largest union.
