Let's be real. Donald J Trumps voting block is NOT going to budge. It's solid. They will come out and vote. This is what is what could win this for the LEFT: If they persuade the minority black and hispanic voter to hit the polls in record numbers, and they do not lose white centrists who FEAR Socialists. Both of those things need to happen. Additionally, the talk that Trump is pulling a solid 22% or greater of blacks, and pulling hispanics, has to prove to be a myth. That is how it breaks out. But hoping that the Trump base is going to fragment is a pipedream. Not happening.

I agree his hard core will remain. He was quite correct in observing how he could shoot someone and still have their support. Fortunately, however they are a distinct minority of American voters. I just reposted a Psychology Today article reporting the science behind his supporters thinking and motivations.

Both sides have a distinct minorities of voters. You have a serious thing happening here. A candidate who calls himself a socialist is running for President. He has to convince Americans, that he doesn't really mean it. That's a tough call. On the other hand he is making a lot of promises about Student loans etc, giving away stuff for votes as they say, that may give him numbers. I have not really took a hard look at state by state numbers, but I don't think they have any real meaning for either side right now. Trump's approval rating is one to watch. Really its gonna be about turnout. I think on either side, if voters become disaffected, apathetic to their candidate they are more likely to stay home then turn out and vote for the other side. The "fed up" effect.

We're not the United Kingdom and I do not think he is planning a trip to Paris.

Bill Maher has been fretting about that for months. He puts the question to every presidential candidate he brings on his show how they would toss Trump out if they won but Trump decided not to leave. Maher is now backing Bernie because he says Bernie has an army of supporters that would take pitchforks and torches to the streets if it came to that.

What do you think Trump supporters are packing? The theory Trump won't leave is laughable. However let's let the fantasy run. Trump supporters are the most highly armed people on the planet. You think any Trump supporters are scared of some little antifa punks?

They can attack unarmed gay, Asian, journalists and people randomly caught in their crowds but all things being even antifa would be stamped out dead in a matter of minutes.

If Trump wanted to stay and had support he could easily do it. However conservatives would not back him in such a scenario. Let's make it clear that it wouldn't be Bernie Bros with pitchforks. Trump leaving office if voted out will be voluntary not because of some imaginary Lynch mob threat.

If Sanders is the Nominee , with a Proper VP, he will wipe the floor with trump.

trump can't paint Bernie anything that everyone has not tried to paint Bernie already, and he is not doing too bad, people are not buying it.  And I heard Bernie can do some painting also.

Not that we need for anyone to paint as a picture. anyone who does not see the trump picture by now is blind at best. But there are those who voted for trump out of a desperation I understand, and they see that trump has not delivered.

NOTHING!! ZERO!!!  trade balance is worst than ever, deficit and debt highest than ever, employment participation the lowest in decades (don't get fooled by  skewed unemployment stats)  Health insurance fixed? world a safer place?  Remember how he was going to restore the coal industry? Has he? all these people are still out there.  And don't underestimate trump fatigue. people are tired of the drama.

No my friend, Bernie can do some painting also,

and four more years of trump ain't a pretty picture.

Healthcare is the killer for trump. SS cuts too. Even lying will not help. Independents and urban females will be deciding factors. Tracy does look like a wild card.

Good riddance it is time to retire trump.

I think its all spin.

Pretty amusing the three narratives. Democrats, Republicans and then trumps. Spin works for me.

No one's getting M4A or free college either. The most that can be hoped for is democratic reform which needs to happen in order to accomplish anything else.

I am glad you brought this up. I am just reading news story  of a Yale University study that says

"The analysis, conducted by researchers at Yale University, the University of Florida and the University of Maryland, found that transitioning the U.S. to a single-payer health care system would actually save an estimated $450 billion each year, with the average American family seeing about $2,400 in annual savings. The research, which was published Saturday in the medical journal The Lancet, also found that Medicare for all would prevent about 68,000 unnecessary deaths per year. "

When i found out that the "middlemen" in healthcare were taking in 27% I knew where the problem was. AMA is the worlds largest union.
