i was reading once in the book hardships posted how to get out alive from a knife fight

with an asian woman.

you take a chair and lift it up in the air , so you can lock her between the chair legs and a wall,

so she can't cut you with the knife but can't move much either.

than you tell her in a calm voice: '' PUT THE KNIFE DOWN AND WE'LL GO SHOPPING"

He was in a better situation with her, than I was in the UK with my (former) Brit wife.

If a criminal then not a very successful one according to the hole he's living in.

More likely he's one of the many westerners who came to Thailand long ago on their small pensions to live their dream and now, in times of rising living costs along with the sharp decline of our currencies realizes his dream fading away.

I know some heartbreaking stories about such guys and I feel really sorry for them.
