Tom Cruise is the main star of Mission: Impossible 7 but it is not known if he was due to be in Venice

Filming on the latest Mission: Impossible movie has been suspended due to coronavirus fears in Italy.

Paramount Pictures had scheduled three weeks of filming in Venice but said it was cancelling the shoot out of "an abundance of caution for the safety and well-being of our cast and crew".

The studio added: "During this hiatus we want to be mindful of the concerns of the crew and are allowing them to return home until production starts. We will continue to monitor this situation, and work alongside health and government officials as it evolves."

More than 200 people in Italy have been infected with COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by coronavirus, the largest number outside Asia. Seven people have died.

What kind of impossible mission is it if a tiny virus stops it? Did they turn Cruise's character into some queer millenial or something? Phah!

Did I hear that you were going straight over to fill in for him to show em how it's done !
