Chiang Mai Dog Walking

Featured Replies

Does anybody know a good place in Chiang Mai to take a dog (dobi) for a good run?

Thanks.

Some of the moobahns but normally has to be on a lead.

Huay Tung Tao

Maybe Rama 9 park (on way to mae Rim) but not sure if dogs are really allowed .

If well trained theres a big football pitch at the front of Chiang Mai Land where you can throw a ball a pretty fair distance.

We always take our dog to the exercise park on Huay Kaew Road. You can run around on the footpath or there is a nice grassy area to play fetch as well.

Are the dogs allowed off their leash?

Well, there certainly isn't anyone there enforcing any leash laws, lol.

I guess it really depends on you and your dog. I personally keep mine on a leash when running around on the footpath but I have seen plenty of others who don't. I just now see that you have a Dobi, so maybe your best bet is to go there early morning when it is quiet if you want to take the dog off the leash.

I have also heard some people go to the football field at CMU but I haven't tried it. I have been to the field at CMLand, it is O.K. but so dirty and it was only a matter of time before all the strays came around. So, not that enjoyable in my opinion.
