Expats probability spend less per day than a tourist but over the period of 1 year will spend far more on food. drink. Cinema tickets. clothes. utility's. Cars + sending money up country to support the extended families 

If we are not appreciated then maybe best find a country the makes us welcome 

I took the missus back to farang land a couple of years ago and now we have lost the mum inlaw we plan on spending less and less time and money only returning to see siblings 

 

After 22 years I have lost all respect for the country and a lot of its people nobody is polite to anyone anymore wife included 

 

Quite happy to enjoy a decent beer in proper pubs with genuine people
