I use the app, and almost always pay before the paper bill arrives with my US credit card.  Today, bill is 1277.38..(700 less than than 2019).  I use the first of the two payment processors.  You instruct them to pay it, there is no place for you to pay a different amount.  Payment is a success, then I get two confirmation emails that state amount paid was 1266.28+5 THB service charge..so the question is why did they discount my bill 11 THB?  

It was interest on my 2000 THB meter deposit.  It was an add on item on the bill after the amount due.  Refunded to my payment.

I noticed similar at the last PEA bill (got two paper slips, one with a usual amount, another with a two digit amount).

After realizing that it was a discount I gave up researching

(I also pay via app, PEA)

 

Wasn't there an announcement few weeks ago that PEA was returning the meter deposits to the owners>

 

I had a similar reduction of a few hundred baht on my last bill, so I guess they return it in parts
