That's quite a shocking story.

I'm not too good with phones/pads etc., but is there a way to prevent porn access/pop-ups?

Also, maybe you should go to the police with this. Who knows how many other kids are being blackmailed. Hard to imagine the terrible angst they are going through.

There is, but this wasn't porn, it was like video screen time, live watching each other and the ladyboy recording him, his bad, one of life's lessons I guess. Both boys were caught previously on PornHub and were banned, and haven't gone on porn sites since as we know how to trace their history, and have crept up on them at times to see what they are up to and they know, if they revisit any porn site, mobiles will be confiscated as will their computer so it's a big gamble they won't take.

I said exactly the same to the wife, i.e. go to the police, she said she will, but we all know how Thai's are, relaxed, so I will let it slide, up to her as the Thai's say.

Well, noone's allowed to talk at the dinner table.

How could he?

Did it ever occur to you that we talk before and after dinner, but not at the dinner table, that's for mum and dad to discuss things and the kids to listen, all 4 as opposed to talking over each other.

It helps to remove the blinkers.

For Mum and Dad to discuss? Or Dad laying down the law with Mum?

Hey, it's not that unusual, in Zen monasteries there''s also not a word spoken at lunch. Could help disgestion.

Buy monopoly. Kids love it when they learn how to play. Makes a change from bring online and can keep them occupied for hours.

Mrs C would only be interested if we play for real money and houses ????.

But, yes, we have a few board games that could occupy an afternoon or two. We also play cards (rummy) for points, which helps with maths.

I remember my fun filled summer school breaks my dad planned for us kids.  Growing up in the midwest USA on a farm. Besides the daily jobs of feeding the sheep and cattle.  Cleaning out the $hit in the barns. We had several farm sites with houses and barns and out buildings.  There was always something that needed painting. And the spring ground preparation for planting.  Plowing and disc the fields. Once that was done the grass on those 3 farms never stopped growing so someone had to cut it. About a half day job at each farm. Feed had to be ground and mixed for the live stock at least twice a week. Hay and corn was the main source of food for the animals.  Speaking of hay. It had to be cut and baled 3 times in the summers.  So cut it, bale it and stack it in the barn. Remember I mentioned the spring planting. Guess what, all those corn seeds and soybean seeds grow up. And so do the weeds alongside them. With out weed control next year the weeds would come back double from the year before. With the corn we could drive the tractor and cultivator up and down the field to get rid of the weeds. The soy beans were a different story. We had to walk up and down each field with a hoe in ours hands chopping the weeds.  So imagine a field a half mile long and a mile wide. How many rows of soybeans do you think that was. In by the way , remember my dad had 3 farms so there was never a shortage of fields Than in the fall came harvesting the crops and plowing the field once more.

Summer after summer my dad had the pain  stacking job of thinking of how to keep 6 kids busy.  Our water park was the old gravel pit out back behind the trees. There were bicycles to ride . Horses to ride . And later as we got older  motorcycles and snowmobiles . We had hay bales to make forts and ropes to swing on.

So growing up we learned how to work, be responsible and appreciate what we had because we knew without the hard work we would have nothing.

So have fun finding ways of entertaining the little ones. My dad had no problem finding ways to entertain the 6 of us.

Excellent thread, just what was needed!

Two kids, 3 and 9. Here's some of what we do or plan to do:

1. Visit to Tiger World, a tourist attraction where the kids can pet tiger cubs. Massively expensive, but as a treat.

2. Trex, an outside water park. kids love that. But again costs a bit, though not as much as  Tiger world.

3. Elephant sanctuary. Again, a weekly treat due to the cost.

4. Swimming pool, thankfully we have one and it's a god send, the kids love to swim. It easily kills an hour or two

5. Baking! The older one loves to bake cakes or cookies !

6. Cinema, when finally, finally, something is worth watching

7. Soft play, while I work out, they'll watch the kids but charge 660 Baht. Bring socks.

8. I take my older one on a ride on the motorcycle. She likes that.

9. Yes, I put on miraculous cartoons, their favourite, on the PS4 and both love that

10. Make friends with neighbours. That way I secured a play date with a nice family with five expat children. Went to play mini golf, but just meeting in a cafe with a playground works

11. Cycling is a daily ritual for the older one

12. We went to Art in Paradise, they love that!

13. Planning to go to Chiang Mai Zoo

14. I'm planning to teach the 9 year old Art, theory and practice. She likes it and doesn't learn it enough

15. I hope to continue Thai lessons for her, using a Youtube channel

16. I want to teach her to catch a ball, being a girl that's her achilles heel.

17. The little one loves water bubbles in the garden.

18. The older one has to practice piano every day.

19. We went to a horse riding place for one day, and they prepared a pony for both the older and younger one. Cost was negligible

20. I plan to teach the older one about geography, just fun general things. Again, not really covered in school.

Great agenda

Thanks for making this long list with  excellent activities for children. I try to spend more time with my children, especially that during the week we see each other only in the morning and evening. I decided to take some time off from work while they’re on vacation. I showed your list to my kids and they were got really enthusiastic about it. My son sad that he can’t wait to visit Tiger world and Trex. Also, we are planning a big party in Westgate hotel in Orlando for a family reunion. There will be many kids and activities organized which will make their vacation wonderful and memorable. I really hope  we’ll do everything we planned.
