Number of UK coronavirus cases rises by 46 to 209

LONDON (Reuters) - The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the United Kingdom has risen to 209, up from 163, health officials said on Saturday.

 

So far in Britain, two patients who had confirmed positive for the virus have died, the health ministry and the Public Health England agency said.

 

The latest figures include three cases in Northern Ireland, which has now reported seven cases of the virus. England has 184 cases, Wales has two and Scotland 16.

If they tested no people, there would be a zero level. Thailand don't test many people so the level of infection is hidden. Same is happening in the US. Very few tests, very few positives.

Last Sunday I recall the count as 35 midday and a further four later in the day, the last 3 days the numbers each day has been in excess of 40, by next weekend the numbers will probably be hundreds each day and the death toll in double figures barring some miracle, MINISTERS have reportedly warned local councils to brace themselves for 100,000 coronavirus deaths in the UK.

 

Already in Italy a quarter of it's population is on lockdown, including a ban on Weddings & Funerals, expect that by the time the UK is reporting the same sort of numbers we will realise such actions "too little, too late"...

Yes I read this in The Guardian, he’s such a horrible man

Sat here in China, as I have done since the outbreak, the UK needs to look at what China did right (When they did it) and what they did wrong (How slow to respond). It is going to be a bumpy ride in my birth country.

 

Possible hard times ahead for old blighty.
