Hi there,

I would like to know if we can get an official source to know exactly what is the necessary amount of annual income for 2 "farangs married (62 & 60), living in Thailand, and asking for this one year retirement visa.

Important to get that, because we can hear a lot of informations about that, but very often, these informations seems conflicting.

Thanks forward :o

I havn't read these but the title suggest they might help.

Your next step should be to go into visa sub-forum for Thailand, the one above this sub.

Go to the search button and enter 'retirement visa or requirements' whatever and then have a browse.

Then if you have more questions, you might be better to post them there, there are a lot of knowledgeable guys for that on there.

Good Luck

To get a one year extention to a Non Imm O visa for the purposes of retirement you must have B800,000 in the bank for 3 months prior to application or an income of B65,000 per month or a combination of both. Your spouse gets an extention based on being a dependant and needs to show no funds.

The source is Police Order no. 606/2459

There is plenty of discussion on this subject in the Visas for Thailand forum.
