I'm back in Europe to renew my non o family visa, got it yesterday by mail. Under "remarks", they've written "Thai wife" with a ball point pen, in a rather sloppy way. Firstly, l'm not married, my visa is based on my kids. Secondly, of all the visas l've got in the past, they've never written in English, always มีบุตรไทย (Has Thai children).

I will contact the embassy first thing tomorrow, but l suspect they'll only brush it a side with the usual mai pen rai. Anyone else ever experienced this?

It almost certainly won’t be a problem.

It would only - possibly - be an issue if you were to apply for a 1 year extension of stay as a parent. Technically, they could send you out for a new entry visa based on your parenthood because the original visa was issued as a spouse; but that’s highly unlikely.

If you’re not planning on a 1 year extension there’s nothing to worry about.
