Cabinet and ThaiPBS roll out social distancing measures

Thailand’s cabinet has taken the initiative by implementing social distancing as a preventive measure to protect against contracting COVID-19, as fears of the deadly virus grip the nation.

 

At the cabinet meeting on Tuesday, all ministers, including Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, were seen wearing face masks and seated about a metre apart.

 

The same measure has also been put into practice at the offices and studios of Thai PBS, beginning with temperature checks at the entrances.

still promoting the total and utter  bs  then at a  time when theyre  really  going to need  those  mask ONLY  for the hospital staff and carers

Sakon Nakhon, There was a couple of hundred  people all in line trying to get free masks today and they weren't practicing social distancing!????

Taken the initiative ?? Or copied other countries example at last !!!

I saw video of the daily MoPH CV news briefing last night on the TV news... All the MoPH execs leading the briefing sitting shoulder to shoulder at a table and none of them wearing masks.

 

The news also had video of the government's CV Emergency Operations Center -- same thing, bunches of folks sitting shoulder to shoulder and hardly any wearing masks.

 

Perhaps they're both figuring, hey, at least if we get sick, we'll be able to find a government hospital bed to treat us -- unlike everyone else.

And still they force more and more people into their immigration offices to do things like 90 day reporting and TM30.

Immigration offices are busier and more crowded than normal.  More people are stuck and need extensions.

a woman sneezed when i was 5 feet away and i caught her cold ,checking my temps every day and still normal so far .4 metres is need for corona as it lingers in the air for 1/2 hour
