Thai airlines cancel return flight

Featured Replies

Two of my wife’s Thai friends flew to New Zealand on a promotion flight with fixed go and return dates.

We have just received an email saying that the return flight has been canceled. It should’ve been on the 25th

Does anyone actually know if Thai airlines have to pay for any accommodation until another flight can be organized.

Should Thai airlines do the organizing.

I hazard a guess that the aircraft will not be flying to New Zealand so cannot fly back...

My wife was also supposed to go with them she decided to cancel.

Does their travel insurance cover this?

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

You need to talk to Thai Airways and they will give you the options. You need the booking reference handy. Different dates will be offered even a different airline if they have stoped flying. It should be free of charge.

They have travel insurance, but I don’t know. Mrs. Jee is sorting it out now

Hell, have just been to the airport to try and sort something out ...the last Thai flight out from NZ is on Monday.

'Thai' at the airport, useless, cannot do anything except give the phone number of 'Thai' in NZ, and of course it is shut now. They also have to go to the embassy to get some sort letter allowing them to travel on Monday.

Maybe 'Thai' tomorrow at the airport will be more helpful ....
