Politicians around the world have been telling us we are at war. Presidents have been pumping out their chests and chancellors have been getting out their war chests. This is going to be a fight and an ugly one at that, they tell us. Perhaps a long one. Perhaps a very long one! It's a struggle against a hidden enemy but one that is likely to affect the great majority of people on Earth in ways almost unprecedented in peacetime.

Nok Air cancels flights to and from Ho Chi Minh City

Nok Airlines has cancelled flights on the Don Muang-Ho Chi Minh City route from March 21 to May 31, in line with the Vietnam Ministry of Transport’s measure to prevent Covid-19 from spreading.

Mae Hong Son closes trade borders with Myanmar

Thai stocks gain on hopes of Covid-19 antiviral drug, but situation still worrisome

Kasikornbank to cut overdraft rate by 25 basis points

Kasikornbank will lower its Minimum Overdraft Rate (MOR) by 25 basis points to 6.62 per cent and minimum retail rate (MRR) by 12 basis points to 6.50 per cent to ease the burden on small and medium-sized clients and individual clients, according to its statement today.
