KHON KAEN (NNT) - Srinagarind Hospital, Khon Kaen province, has organized the home delivery of medicine to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infections.

Associate Professor Dr. Somsak Tiamkao, Deputy Director of Srinagarind Hospital, Khon Kaen University, says that the hospital will deliver medicine to patients at home under the project called "Reducing the Risk, Avoiding COVID-19". This measure only applies to certain groups of patients, such as those with chronic diseases who require continual treatment and receive the same medication for at least six months. The patients must be in a stable condition without complications. Usually, such patients have to go to the hospital for a check-up and wait for their medicine. This project can help reduce the risk.

The Deputy Director of Srinagarind Hospital advised patients to contact the hospital to apply for the participation in the project. After the hospital approves qualified patients, it will deliver their medicine. The patients can begin submitting their information from Monday, March 23, 2020.

There is NO, repeat NO, medicine to reduce the risk anywhere in the world, let alone Kohn Kaen.

There are tests to see if you have or have not got the virus, medications to ease the effects of having lung disease problems.

The only way to stop it spreading is to NOT go near anyone else who MAY have the virus, and practise 200% cleanliness.

Read everything, they bring the patients their regular needed medicines at home to prevent them to go to the hospital, so that's why they call it reducing the risk.!

The 'Grab' m/c couriers are going to be Thailand's heroes and heroines.

These doom-mongers that say there is nothing you can do to protect yourself other than self-isolation are sad.

There are the obvious things like washing hands with alcohol and handling money with plastic gloves on and wearing swimming goggles, but there is even more basic stuff. That is the body itself! Think of the body as a fortress. The virus is trying to get across the moat and scale the walls but when it does the inhabitants have to be ready to fight back. And that fighting back means a strong immune system.

It's easy to stick 'how to boost your immune system' into google and get hundreds of special herbs, drinks, exercises and goodness knows what else.

Here are my tips:

Get in stock as much reishi, maitake and <deleted>ake for six months supply. If you cannot get all three; then reishi is the choice. Use the mushrooms to make tea. Drink half litre of this tea every two hours.

Garlic: pop a clothe in your mouth and chew slowly until just a pulp. Then wash down with reishi tea. Repeat every 3 hours.

Ginger: do the same as with the garlic.

Onions: a slice of onion a day keeps the peelaw away (so the saying goes). Could also keep the virus at bay.

Pappaya: great food. Eat AMAP.

Apples: as papaya.

Exercise: exercise sensibly. Get partner to help with this.

Sleep: get some rest. Can't sleep? Pop a couple of clothes of garlic next to your head; soon be sleeping like a baby.

Good quality dark chocolate. A nice snack and a great benefit for the coming war.

Coconut water: drink plently.

Licorice: just chew those sticks away.

Sugar: cut it out immediately. Plenty of sugar in the above fruits.

Salt: very, very moderate use.

Do not eat any food that has been fried.

Worry; try not to worry. When (if) the virus breaches your defences you will be well ready to resist it.

Lots more stuff to stop that nasty virus in its tracks.

Stay safe out there.

First of all this isn't about medication for COVID19 but to reduce the amount of people visiting the hospitals for medication of other (chronic) diseases. Secondly there are absolutely a handful of anti virals that seem to be working, with hydroxochloroquine + zithromax leading the pack, followed by favilavir.
