I expect that before they do their panic buying they vote Labour and cry out "What about the workers!". When the cupboard is brim full they vote Tory and cry out "I will fight till the last to avoid sharing any of my hard won loo rolls with anyone else". 2 hours ago, Laughing Gravy said: But they shouldn't have to and the local 'Chavs' screaming about their human rights and how the country is run by communists. People should have a moral sensibility and responsibility not to be stupid but obviously that isn't reality. People should have a moral sensibility and responsibility not to be stupid. ...........exactly. This crisis has however given us a much cheaper way of doing I.Q. tests. Start with plus 150 and deduct one point for every loo roll stored in your cupboard!

Idiots panic buying is the problem "who needs a trolly full of toilet rolls? News flash you can't eat them. The problem is now a lot of these scum are trying to sell these items online at unbelievable prices" toilet rolls going for £100" and I kid you not. Scammers even on Amazon and there attitude is "no one forcing you to buy". What idiots buying trolleys full of pasta etc, I have had not problem buying what I need and in fact tonight I am having a 21 day matured Aberdeen Angus steak. There is every reason whatsoever for the man in the street to believe the cabinet when they say that wares/grub/loo-paper is plentiful. After all it is not the government going around emptying the supermarket shelves is it. There IS plenty of food and toilet paper around, however when idiots clear the supermarket shelves the supermarkets restock from their own stocks first. When that runs out due ti irresponsible idiots stocking up they have to call their depot for more stock. The supermarket call their suppliers for more stock from their suppliers. I think the delay is caused by drivers running out of hours and being unable to work beyond their limits, hence the delay in restocking the supermarket shelves. If one supermarket gets a new supply, word of mouth gets around and they are cleared out again by the same idiots who have caused the problem in the first place.
March 22, 20206 yr I think we need to get the army out sooner rather than later. Bloody useless junkies desperate and clucking on the streets.

I am becoming more confused about what is happening in England by the minute. How do you square your claim of unity in England with you now asserting the military needs to be called out to manage the situation? The two positions you have taken, which I believe you still stand behind, are in direct conflict with each other. This is especially true in context of all the other posts complaining about Boris and British governance over the matter in general. As I am an American who is clearly not up to speed with politics in England, can you please enlighten me? Edited March 22, 20206 yr by Crazy Alex

This is especially true in context of all the other posts complaining about Boris and British governance over the matter in general. As I am an American who is clearly not up to speed with politics in England, can you please enlighten me? Ninety percent of what you here is just social media hype and rubbish. Military is not being called out and only would be if there was a total lock-down as in some other countries. When the comics, oops! I mean tabloids, "report" things, the vast majority of the time it is totally inaccurate. However there are plenty of people who buy into that rubbish. I have just been to my local Waitrose and bought a 24 roll pack of toilet paper, bread, eggs, milk and a couple of bottles of wine. Plenty of stuff on the shelves except for dried pasta. I think people are starting to get it! Went to Bushey Park yesterday and it was packed with people and their kids. But everyone was keeping a safe distance from each other. The majority of people do the sensible thing most of the time and there are dozens of local websites set up around where I live to advise and organise events that fit in with the government guidelines.

They will be uber effective and disciplined local coordinators as well. After war this will literally be a walk in the park. Had a walk with a friend today whose brother is a monumental stonemason says all the local crematoria are erecting temporary pavilions to handle the excess coffins and will be working 24/7 very shortly sadly. The sh&t is about to get very real. Still have to pinch oneself as to how the hell did this happen - what has happened to 2020 ? Edited March 22, 20206 yr by URMySunshine
March 22, 20206 yr The panic buyers have no thought about anybody but themselves, me, me, me people, baring their ugly souls. This is happening all over the world. Geezer
March 22, 20206 yr Well if these guys are taking the risk then they must require food more than me, because the way the virus is spreading I would have to be desperate to be standing in scrum like that!!
