Please help. Have a very active and destructive 1 year old Rottie, lovely dog, just full of puppy badness. Think he needs a companion to play with and would very much like a Dobermann, however having searched all over the place, can't seem to find a breeder in Thailand. Does anyone know of a breeder? Am quite willing to travel all over to find one.

Any assistance would be great, thanks

Couple of months ago a friend of mine was looking for a Dobermann as well but could not find a good one.

Why not choose another breed?

We have found a Boxer for the same reason.

Think your family is lovely. Very big rotties. My husband and I have discussed lots of breeds, and having had german shepherds, border collies, boxers, jack russels and heinz 57s before just really wanted a dobermann. Had a friend in the uk who worked in Dobermann kennels had she was smitten. Have seen a few at some garden centres and on a local farm, just wondered if there were any reputable breeders or whether I would have to import. Thanks for the reply

I have heard good things about this guy, his kennels are out by Suphanburi, my wife and I were considerring a Chow and spoke to the owner. Nice guy by all accounts, was very particular about his dogs and who he sell to. Its not really an open kennel (as in open to the public) but he was okay for us to visit with an appointment.

In the end though we were warned off of Chows for there 'stand offish' temperament and intolerance of kids. Lovely dogs though. He exports his dogs to the states too I think.

Thanks for all the information, have emailed both the kennel club and the breeder to see what they have to say, no reply as of yet, i'll wait till after Songkran and then give them a call and hopefully a visit. Will keep everyone informed as to how i get on, hopefully in the next month or so I will have a puppy to post.

Thanks again

Hello All. Please have a look at my kennel and website - http://sgdobermann.tripod.com we have imported some dobies to Thailand without problems. Ours are true European Champion pedigreed Dobermanns, absolutely loyal, loving, alert and great with kids and people, and highly trainable.

There used to be a few kennels that had decent European Dobermanns, but now they are almost extinct in Thailand. Most dobies are bred for showing now, and they are of the American Pinscher type, not the working and solid Europ type.

You can email me for any info, advise etc. We are passionate of the breed, and happy to spread the love of the magnificent and noble Dobermann. Thanks very much

Nice looking Boxer.. I have a seven year old male Boxer that has just been diagnosed with renal failure, he is still very energetic though and hopefully with medication and a change of diet he will keep going for a while yet.

Where did you get your Boxer by the way, i am considering getting a friend for mine.

Cheers
