31 French tourists infected with COVID-19 had traveled to multiple destinations in Cambodia before detection

The 31 French nationals who were all tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus over the weekend, had been traveling together since they arrived in Siem Reap on March 11.

Now they are being quarantined in a hotel where treatment is taking place. Meanwhile, authorities are racing to track the number to people with whom  the infected patients came in contact with, given their large number and multiple stop overs. The itinerary includes stop overs in Battambang, Phnom Penh, an island tour before stopping at Sihanoukville, their final destination before traveling  back to Phnom Penh to fly back.

As things stand now, two Cambodian tour guides were also tested positive. Authorities are trying to determine whether the tour group had contracted the virus in Cambodia or had it in them when they arrived in the country to begin their tour and before Cambodia enforced a No French rule. The tourists — ranging in age from late 40s to 80 — were part of a group of 36 that arrived on March 11 in Siem Reap. The patients are currently receiving treatment in isolation in the southern coastal city of Sihanoukville.

It is terribly contagious, this <deleted> of virus, a lot of people compare it with the flu but "I think" (?) it is much more contagious!

They had contact to a lot of people while traveling .

Impossible to find and treat all of them ... looks like the virus is winning ...

Good luck to them. Sihanoukville has no top notch hospital.

They don't need hospitals there. They have "hotels"...

Is Cambodia still business as usual in regards to tourism?  They're still allowing organized groups?

No. But these people entered before the ban.
