Thai media said that Krabi was laughing after a video of fighting water monitors hit social media.

The video showed three of the large creatures fighting on the beach at Koh Hong in the Thanbok Koranee national park.

Park staff said that there at least ten of the creatures in the area and they often delight tourists by coming out to sunbathe at the beach.

They reckoned that these were territorial fights.

I think you're confusing them with Comodo Dragons.

Not to be confused with the larger Komodo but these water monitors still have a nasty bite and their saliva is full of bacteria which can make the wound rot and fester.

Soon all the animals will have the beaches and the jungles to themselves as the CV19 will have wiped out global tourism completely in about 3 to 6 months.
