I need to get a 2 month non-immigrant visa with family as criterion.

What I know or require:

  • Fill out non-immigrant visa form
  • Photo of family in front of residence
  • Photo of self x2
  • Photocopies of relevant passport stamps
  • passport
  • Birth certificate of child

As these are dynamic times with regard to immigration requirements so I wonder if I'm leaving out "Essentials"

I took photo in front of house, but cant print no shops open, will they print it at immigration if I take camera chip in with jpg file?

I got a retirement at the end of Dec 2019, but my passport expires in April, after getting a new passport they wont transfer the remaining time into my new passport, so now my visa expires in a couple of days.

I thought they weren't supposed to issue visas if your passport had less than 6 months remaining! Not only did they do that, they didnt apprise me about the truncated time. When I noticed it I thought they would adjust it....NO!

Will I need letter from Consulate to extend my stay?

Will I need proof of Health Insurance?

No and no.

You can get a 60 day extension to visit your Thai child. They will need to be with you when you apply.

No photos other than one 4 X 6 photo for the TM7 application form.

Their birth certificate and a copy of it and a copy of their house book registry.

Copy of your passport photo page,  visa, extension stamp, last entry stamp and TM6 departure card.

Thanks Joe,

While at immigration in CM dealing with cancellation of my old passport the Officer there told us a photo of the family in front of the house with the address clearly visible.

Hopefully this will suffice, when provided with house book and birth certificate, but I appreciate the requirements may change depending on the Officer you speak with.

regards

You're doing a great service to both Thailand and fellow expats

Thank you
