snoop1130
TV tonight: Will Michael Jackson be airbrushed from history? Arriving in court in 2005 ... The Real Michael Jackson. Photograph: Michael A Mariant/AP Jacques Peretti fronts this one-off documentary analysing the life and increasingly troubled legacy of Michael Jackson. In the wake of the 2019 film Leaving Neverland’s allegations of paedophilia and sexual assault, and many of Jackson’s fans subsequently renouncing him, Peretti tries to paint an objective picture of Jackson’s rigorously disciplined upbringing, speaking to friends such as Donny Osmond and cultural critics including Margo Jefferson on the singer’s revised cultural status. The outcome remains murky. anterian
I think with people in the public eye we have to treat their private life separate from their public one.

Popular Post balo
Thriller and all the hits he made will always be classics in pop history. Whatever his <deleted> up private life, he will not be forgotten as a great artist and entertainer. 6 1

Popular Post Mick501
Leaving Neverland made a compelling case that he was a pedophile however it should not be forgotten that no defence case was presented as MJ was conveniently dead. It also should not be forgotten that he was aquitted, and that Macauley Culkin has categorically stated that nothing happened (many times including recently when he qualified it by saying he would definitely speak out if something had happened). There is financial reward to be had in making accusations against famous people. No doubt MJ was eccentric to say the least, but all there ever will be is allegations. Should that be sufficient to destroy his musical legacy? 3
AgMech Cowboy
Those of us older than 40, no, he will not be airbrushed. Under 40??? Depends on the exposure from Mom or Dad. Under 25... Michael who??
thaibeachlovers
He was a nutter that made great music. His music will not be forgotten as long as those that enjoyed it remember. For people that never knew his work he probably is already unknown- it's not like radio plays his music much.
