Is a letter from British Embassy required for 12 months extension?

May I ask a simple question - The covid19 notice from Phuket Immigration (see attached) is not clear because it does not mention for 30 days extension only or all the types of the extensions. 

 

I am planning to submit the TM7 form for 12-month extension (single parent) so do I need a letter from British Embassy & make 4 copies instead of 2?

 

Appreciate any shortest answers.

Not needed for any normal extension. It is only required for the special 30 day extensions they are doing.

Many thanks - So I will try the normal extension tomorrow. By the way I notice many people are already sitting outside at Phuket Immigration at 7.45am for 8.30am! About 30 of them...
