A storm hit Chonburi and Rayong provinces on April 8-9 resulting in the destruction of 338 houses in two districts.

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation has collaborated with the Army and local administrative organisations to aid residents who were affected by the storm.

The officials will evaluate the destruction and send the information to the Finance Ministry to arrange financial aid.

The Thai Meteorological Department has warned that the North, the Northeast, the Central and East may encounter another storm.

The department will provide a hotline service 1784 for 24 hours so that an emergency case from the disaster can receive help in time.

Not a drop of rain in Pattaya.

There was yesterday around 12.30 - very localised. Came out of Makro North Pattaya and it came down for about 5 minutes. Third Road south past the driving range however dry as a bone.

Doubt any of these help any beyond the plants it falls upon. The ground is going to soak a lot of it up and none will reach any reservoirs.

Raining now in Nong Plalai.
