The Dems should just forfeit this election and concentrate on getting a non-senile candidate for 2024.

With Governors Newsom (D-CA) and Cuomo (D-NY) recently endorsing Trump's coronavirus efforts, as well as the cheering New York crowds when the USNS Comfort arrived a couple of weeks ago, there is strong evidence Trump will take both those states.  Expect a Trump landslide victory in November.

maybe, trump and cuomo have been friendly the past week once trump backed off of a federal quarantine of the northern states.

that's in the past, now trump is claiming absolute authority to reopen, while the states are holding back.

i realize the press is anti-trump, so the article linked below must be read with a carload of salt.  but if trump isn't careful, he's gonna lose a big basket of states rights deplorables.

Are you by chance willing to bet some money on that. Or just FAKE all around?

No one on this thread (so far) (except #28) has attempted to analyse why Bernie never made it.  There are the usual arguments that the Great American Public is not yet ready for a red-in-tooth-and-claw SOCIALIST.

But I would submit that Bernie was happy not to win, since he (at 78+) would face grindingly awful opposition from his own "party" if he were to attempt to bring in Medicare for All (which most of us from non-American backgrounds regard as par for the course in modern society).  And of course his Dem "friends' would fling at him his youthful travels to the Soviet Union!

He deserves to lose, though, since he joined in, back in early 2017, the baying chorus of Democrats who were petrified that Trump was going to forge a new friendship with Russia (at the expense, of course, of China and its multitude of treasonous acolytes in Washington D.C.).   These last four years have been all about the loss of Power by the Democrats if Trump was successful in opening up a new friendship with Russia.  Lots of jobs depend on Russia being, once again, the old enemy.....

Trumps base is solid as a rock obvious even to the Chinese Communist Party.

It wont even be close. You are right. If there is any hope for Biden at all, it is only because this situation we are in.

Trump is moving left of centrist dems like Biden on many issues like the checks currently being delivered and even medicare. Biden does nothing to bring Bernie supporters on board. He goes on the news and proclaims how he will shut down medicare for all if he got the chance.

Trump has much more savvy and political maneuverability. The Bidens of the world are tied to their donors, and it is quite obvious. Voters say "Biden would go out of his way to strike down legislation important to me? I will go out of my way not to support him". Trump knows this and it is wise of him to capitalize on it, these are swing votes.

There will be a lot of dems voting none of the above and even Trump. There wont be any republicans voting for Biden or abstaining.

Maybe in 2024 dem voters will finally have learned their lesson.

Trump is NOT moving left of "Centrist Dems" on ANY issue. The stimulus is NOT a leftist move, its an emergency neccessity being carried out in a state of crisis.

Good point as I do see the base does indeed support States Rights wholeheartedly. The part I find most interesting was trump saying he has an abundance of supporting evidence that he has the ultimate say over the States but offers ZERO proof of that. Big Joke! Constitution is VERY clear on what he dose have authority on.

is it?  he got my vote by absentee ballot to texas in the last election.  more of a vote for "not her" than for trump, though.  i had some hope he would be different, but in a good way.  i was disappointed.  i see him selling his soul to his donors, and we're still in afghanistan/iraq/syria/etc, and still regime-changing.  i was fooled thinking his blowhard, know-nothing public image was just an act.

can't see voting for a creature like biden, not even as a "not him" vote.  if it comes down to those two, think i'll just save myself the trouble of printing off the ballot and expense of an airmail stamp.  what difference, at that point, would it make?

Interesting that you are just the third poster to admit that during the last three years that I know of.

Yeah the US Department of State needs to Tighten up on granting absentee citizenship. It's a Trojan Horse.

are you joking, or do you not understand absentee ballots?  ????

No I am not joking at all. I want to halt immigration, and greencards to Chinese citizens, except in very limited circumstance, and drive a huge stake up the CCP's fat ass! But yeah I understand perfectly absentee ballots. I use one myself.

Politico.....yeah the same insanity makes the same circle-jerk liberal round of papers. Thats how they convinced themselves of Hillary's win last time. None of that bs makes Joe Biden more exciting. But it might convince Democrats they don't need to vote.... so yeah... keep spreading the news!

cause now i'm confused.  i voted absentee, you said the state department needs to cut back on granting "absentee citizenship,"  (is that a thing?), and now you're talking about green cards.

green card holders can't vote, absentee or otherwise.

No but former Chinese citizens who live in China but are US citizens can vote, and before they become citizens they get green cards.

So I wish to curtail the practice of bucking the US system being used by the CCP against the USA for their own benefit. American Citizens in name only, who reside in China, that practice must stop! And yeah look it up....California is filled with them.

I wouldn't be so sure. According to a nationwide survey published in The Hill in January:

Now, that doesn't mean those people would vote for Biden (that wasn't what they were being asked) but it shows that if there's any Democratic candidate that Republicans might be likely to vote for, it's Biden.

Honestly polls are meaningless. Especially now. Meaningless. Common sense though should tell anyone that Democrat Victory lay in getting out the vote....or they could put the word out not to worry because Trumps base will vote for Biden.....yeah good idea. Get the word out!
