Video: I was only kidding! Thai man pays 1,000 baht fine for "spitting" incident

Sanook reported that a 43 year old man turned himself in to Khu Khot police in Pathum Thani north of Bangkok after a video showed him apparently spitting in the direction of a staffer at a convenience store.

Financial relief approved for employees affected by Covid-19 outbreak

Hot weather and thundershowers forecast for upper Thailand, heavy rains in the South

The Thailand Meteorological Department forecast on Thursday (April 16) that a thermal low covers upper Thailand while the southerly and the southeasterly winds blow humidity into the lower North, the Northeast, the Central and the East regions.

SRT heeds request from Uttaradit authorities to cancel train service

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has temporarily cancelled the Bangkok-Den Chai trains No 111 and 112.  Acting SRT Governor Worawut Mala said on Thursday (April 16) that passengers can apply for ticket refund from Thursday.

LONDON (Reuters) - The United Kingdom’s novel coronavirus outbreak is starting to peak but it is too early to lift the lockdown because the virus would “run rampant” if the government eased social distancing measures, Health Minister Matt Hancock said on Thursday.
