Info On Getting A Phytosanitary Certificate

Featured Replies

I would like to find out how one would get a phytosanitary certificate while I am in Bangkok. I want to be able to bring home spme plants ( in Canada ) I have all the permits i need to get the plants back to Canada which was a bit of a headache, and they all speak english :o . I hope i am not going to have major problems while i am in Bangkok, i only have a few days at the end of my vacation to get my phytosanitary certificate. Does anyone know of what government agency or nursey that would be able to do this for me? Basically I am trying to bring home Hoya plants and Orchids, so nothing to fancy. Thank you in advance for all your help :D Cindy..

You might try Kultana orchids orchid.in.th as they seem to be a pretty big plant exporter or wanapluk which offers to export other tropical plants. Thaising is another big one that I have heard of.

Also, here is a link to an excel document at the Dept of trade: http://www.thaitrade.com/29.page

scroll down to live plants.

Good luck! I understand it isn't an easy process anywhere in the world.
