Has anyone who needs to but is unable to leave the country been to Hua Hin Immigration lately to extend for 30 days? Non OA - ED Visas etc

If so what paperwork did they ask for? And was a letter from the Embassy required?

Thanks in advance for any help

If you entered on a visa you do not have to apply for a 30 day extension. You are under the "amnesty".

If on a extension of stay you should apply for it as you normally would.

I entered on a Visa Exempt last year which was then converted to a ED Visa

My extension of stay (90 days) finishes at the end of the month and at that point I am supposed to leave the country (end of the 1 year visa)

So I am assume I would need to extend? I did post about this around a week ago and you said I would need to extend - again this is the end of my 1 year visa

If you have to leave the country to get a new visa you can stay under the amnesty.

I assume you have stayed for a total stay of one year that includes the 90 day entry from the non-ed visa and 90 day extensions.

That might of been before the ministerial order came out.

Your visa expired long ago since it was probably a single entry visa.

Yes it was a single entry (last year Converted from within Thailand from a VE)

Since then it has been 90 day extensions

My permission to stay is until the 4th May and then I should be leaving the country

Do you think I am covered under the amnesty? Do I still need to visit Immigration to get a 30 day stamp? I'm not to concerned if I have to pay for it or not

Yes you are since the only way you can stay longer is to go out for a new visa.

No

And without a letter from your embassy you could not apply for a 30 day extension.

Have the (British) Embassy stopped issuing letters Joe?

I too entered on a visa exempt (3rdmarch) ...extended @ Petchaburi immigration office 31 march until 1st may . My question is do I need to go back and extend again ? Now the UK embassy is not issuing and letters should I have a problem .

I've had 3 flights canceled and now hopefully plan to fly out 2nd July.

Thanks in advance for any advice .

You do not have to apply for another extension since the order that was issued on April 7th  and went into effect on that day.

You can stay until July 31st now without needing to apply for another extension.

What do you mean on extension? I entered Thailand somewhere in January then my visa was extended for extra 30 days until Apr 15. Do I need to go to the immigration office?

If had read the post I was replying to you would probably understand. I was was referring to longstay extensions (1 year or 90 days).

In your case you do not need to anything until July 31st.

Hi,

On a METV visa that expired mid-April.  I went (before most recent order released) to get extension.

I paid 1900 and they gave me extension (30D) starting from 1st May instead of date I was there/visa expires.  So I'm good until end of May.

Now with latest news, I guess July.  Although I do hope airports open for transiting around the world in May.  (Taiwan, Dubai, etc..)

As for requirements on extension, just needed a photo to stick to the application and a photocopy of passport photo page and entry/recent stamp.  Photocopies available behind immigration building in little shophouse.

As some/Ubonjoe mentioned, you should be ok until end of July with recent order that went into effect.

Thanks Joe for clarifying  that for me .
