Thai Social Security Health Coverage
Dear Sheryl and other long-term residents, From reading above threads, I can see that the SSO will cover room+nursing fees etc up to 700 THB when admitted in Private hospital and that any 'upgrade' to private room etc will need to be paid by yourself. Whereas all other doctor, medication and medical intervention/operation remain fully covered by SSO... Question here is... Would someone be able to claim the additional expenses for a room upgrade from their private health insurance *(if you have one)? Or is this practice not allowed by health insurance companies? More in particular anyone experience with April health insurance on this matter? Merry Xmas! FB -

Not actually true. The raid traffic engineers have designed a bend that clearly leads to extra crashes. Thailand doesn't seem to have such a thing as a traffic engineer. -

Their traffic signs are the most amusing and confusing especially at red lights. Most people ignore them anyway these days, and just use google maps to go anywhere. -

korat immigration only, new rules or nationwide?
This week have visited Korat Immigration following a border bounce into Laos very late November 2024. I was planning on a 30 Extension of stay this week then after 30 days apply for a further 60 day Extension based on being married to a Thai. However on inspection of the paperwork the officer stated you will not be able to extend the visa you apply for any further - Maximum of 90 day stay in Thailand, you got 60 days when you arrived ) Is this new? Is this only in Korat or country wide? Used to be 30 day on arrival, then 1st 30 day extension, then a 2nd 60 day extension for a total of 120 days.... Any thoughts...... -
