More than 1.2 million people have registered for compensation under the Social Security Act after they had to stop working due to the forced closure of their workplaces under efforts to curb the Covid-19 contagion, Pitsamai Nithiphaiboon, spokesperson for the Social Security Office (SSO), said on Thursday (April 23).

Employees under the social security scheme whose workplaces had to be closed either under government orders or due to economic conditions will be given 62 per cent of their daily wages based on a maximum monthly salary of Bt15,000 for no more than 90 days.

SSO has been inviting people to register on its website, www.sso.go.th, for the subsidy since early this month.

“Once it is verified that the applicants are indeed out of a job due to the situation, SSO will transfer the compensation to the applicant’s bank account within three days,” she said.

Pitsamai added that SSO has earmarked Bt160 billion for this scheme.

“The fund was carefully managed with both long-term and short-term investment to maximise profits and ensure there are adequate funds to help subscribers in times of need,” she said. “In a move to ensure transparency, the SSO has published details of all its investments and their status on its website.”

So ... what's going to happen in 3 month ?
The Economy is on its knees and its going to be there for quite some time due to GOVERNMENT action !!!

None of this happens because of a virus !!! It happens because Governments say so !!!

I just hope that ALL these criminal Governments will be held accountable for the

disaster they have produced. All the death they have caused with their actions !!!

All the hardship and suffering.

None of this is because of a "virus" ... there is no Pandemic [not even by Government numbers !!!]
