The Ministry of Labour handed over 100,000 cloth face masks to the Thai Red Cross Society for distribution to the public, Dr Duangrit Benjatikul Chairungruang, vice minister of Labour, said on Thursday (April 30).

“The Thai Red Cross Society had on April 13 supplied 67 rolls of fabric to the Ministry of Labour as raw material for cloth face masks,” he said. “The ministry then ordered branch offices of the Skill Development Department nationwide to make face masks free of charge. The final products were given to Red Cross Society, which will later distribute them to the general public to protect against Covid-19.”

Sunantha Sorn-Anusin, director of the Red Cross Youth Office, represented the Thai Red Cross Society in accepting the face masks and thanked the Ministry of Labour for their contribution.
