Not saying Aussie birds are different, but I have not come across one, I have here on one occasion...

A lot never grow up and cannot deal with refusal without going in to one .. One bird I was cobbled up with up in the sticks went mental and smashed all the embossed plates from the tiger farm on the bedroom cabinets when I said she couldn't have 200 bt to play the village lottery .. I mean how unreasonable can you be .. I eventually concluded I had to escape and told her I couldn't find my wallet so she went and seen some old crow fortune teller in the village about 8k away to seek directions from the spirits in finding it .. this I hoped would give me a bit of breathing space while I planned my escape .. While she was off doing mumbo jumbo I chucked everything in a bag I wanted and headed for the bus stop on the main road running right past the private estate we were living to catch a bus into Korat then one back to Pattaya .. But I got grassed up by the security guard in the security hut at the estate entrance when she came back from the seanc'ing before the bus for Korat arrived .. I could see her riding along ( wrong side of the road as they do ) so hid behind some bushes then when the bike stopped at the security hut a bit of conversation ensued 'tween her and security , she looked over to the bus stop before getting off the bike and walking over .. I thought shall I play dead and hope she don't look in the bushes .. needless to say that wasn't really an option and I was spotted with another tantrum following about 2 seconds later .. if that security guard is reincarnated then i hope it is as a fly so he has to feast on dog's egg's for his short life for showing such treachery ..

It seems with the Thai hierarchy some people give orders and others obey orders. That's the way it is. And it works - until it does not work anymore. And then it's BOOM, no hesitations anymore.

And obviously sometimes the small boss gives orders and then he receives orders from the big boss.

Farangs, who don't know the hierarchy, or think they have equal relationships, learn sooner or later that there is no such thing as an equal non hierarchy relationship in Thailand. If you don't give orders then there is only one other option: you receive orders.

This is a south-east Asian psychological phenomenon. People grin and bear, grin and bear until they feel their treatment is no longer just and then they explode in a rage. In Indonesia it is called "Amok". 

 

You hear a lot of stories of Westerners whose SE Asian girlfriends are absolute psychos on occasion.

Have not looked at the whole thread but if you let them get angry once they will keep on doing the same, just like a child.

Give them a smack on the butt or walk away but let them know that anger aint going to fix things. Oh and stop Thai soap movies on TV

gotta be carweful - in that you're 'smack' etc is what they are building up and training you to eventually do to them

 - and then becomes their avenue for claiming your brutality

which makes their final hurdle of getting Citizenship, oh so much easier as a 'terrified' bashed ex-wife, feigning it to the max in a Refuge

I do not advocate a good bashing with a pool cue mate. If you really want to get some respect just stop the money, why should a man accept abuse from anyone. Or why should a woman for that matter. I will leave it there.

I  can't talk about all thai ladies, but I can talk about my wife of 11 years now,

Most wonderful, reasonable   girl .Could not live without her , love her and she loves me But, when she gets angry, all reason goes out the window.

At first I use to try and reason with her, but that only made her more angry,

I now walk away, go for a ride in the car, or go to a different room. I give her, her space to calm down, and hour later, she apologizes, we hug, laugh about it .

my angle was more about 'the mind games' played by the thai...

thing is that poor falangs is 'expected' to follow Orders... no matter if you think that your way is the correct way! 

 - there's a Right way, a Wrong way - and there is mrs Thai way

 

if one doesn't do it 'her' way - it is seen as 'rejecting' her... which means big trouble

Bad families, poor schooling. Not especially intelligent.

 

Even poor Thai with decent parents never act like that.

 

What's worse it might even be a bit of an act to manipulate something to her advantage.

 

Only known one bargirl to do something stupid silly when she showed up 90 minutes late. Told her to get lost.

 

My wife has an absolutely lovely disposition.

 

Maybe some reflection is in order.

They have the physical strength of adults but the minds of 5-year-old children; you cannot criticize a particular behavior without them immediately thinking you don't love them any more. It's all about them personally.

 

They have no ability for self-reflection or self-awareness; impulse rules their reactions. Like children, they have only 3 modes; overbearing love, withdrawn sulkiness, and outright bats**t violence.

 

And I've been married to one for over 10 years .....

Right - they repeat the behaviour that gets them their desired results.....Once they see it goes largely uncontested they're fortified for the next round.....A vicious cycle is born.....

It's not you it's your money. The nation is absolutely desperate.

 

So you have this weird thing. Poor Filipino women get in comfy with the farang get laxy6real fast. At the same time the want maximum loyalty and payout for essentially nothing.

 

Middle class Filipino women are ok. A bit of education. Stay away from the poors.
