Doggy Welcomes

Featured Replies

Just got back from Australia after a month and got the 9/10 welcome from the dog. (You don't want to know about the 10/10, it involved loss of bladder control in his younger days.)

That's the longest I've been away, his Thai Mum looks after him well, she claimed she walked him regularly, I wonder where she fixed the lead onto her motorbike?, and he gets lots of attention from the housekeepers.

I wonder if they ever forget us? What's the longest anyone's left a dog for and came back? I don't necessarily mean a family pooch, but YOUR dog, the one YOU walk, bath and play with.

Not actually my dog, but one we had at the center got adopted about 10 months ago. About a month ago, I was at the local pound & heard this frantic crying & desperate whines. I looked down & there was this dog I'd had 9 months previous, going mad at the sight of me. Her owner had dumped her there, instead of bringing her back to us. If she hadn't gone crazy at seeing me, I'd never have noticed her.

She's back with us, now :o

Just back from 2 months in the Uk, my 1 year old rottie was delighted to see me, but treated me differently, almost as if he wasn't sure that i was going to be around. Now follows my husband everywhere, responds to his every beck and call, and although affectionate to me, acts a little like I have to win him back!!!
