snoop1130
Bleak sight at Erawan shrine as worshippers stay away By The Nation Photo of Erawan Shrine/NationPhoto by Tanachai Pramarnpanich. Bangkok’s famous Erawan shrine has reopened but only a few people were seen paying homage, while the dancers, which the site is known for, were seen wearing face shields to protect themselves. The shrine, housing the statue of Phra Phrom or the Thai representation of the Hindu god Brahma, is located at the Ratchaprasong intersection and is equally popular among foreigners and Thais. The shrine was reopened on Sunday (May 3) for the first time in over a month. Few worshippers were seen on Monday, as Thailand will only lift the ban on incoming flights at the end of this month. The shrine is open from 6am to 6pm. ChaiyaTH
The fact it is a representation only makes it worthless, you could do the same ritual anywhere in that case. Spiritual tax statues lol. Edited May 5, 2020 by ChaiyaTH
