The annual influenza vaccination has been brought forward to May 1 to August 31 this year, the Public Health Ministry informed on Friday (May 8).

The vaccination will be free of charge for doctors and public health officials, and for people in high-risk groups, such as

women pregnant for four months or longer; children aged six months to not over two years old; chronic patients of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, heart disease, stroke and kidney failure; patients of cancer, HIV, and obesity;

elders aged 65 and above; and persons with cerebral palsy.

The vaccine covers four influenza types and has been imported from the US.

The National Health Security Office is in charge of managing the vaccine distribution to medical personnel, as well as to high-risk people.

How much is it to buy?

Interesting, don't they also have an experimental COVID vaccine to test out as well?

Was free to everybody during Yingluck's time!
