villageidiotY2K
I'm thinking of changing my brake, clutch fluid at Bquik. I've changed my brake fluid Jan this year at Bquik but I hear this hssh sound when I step on the clutch. Is this normal? Also do they completely flush the old fluid for brake, clutch? I don't wanna be too nosy and step in to see they've actually doing it...
canthai55
Usually called for every 2 years. The system should be flushed 100%, and if car equipped with ABS special precautions and equipment need to be used to cycle the solenoids to evacuate and refill all chambers in the control unit. Would I trust B-Q or any shop without this equipment ? No. Clutch system is much easier, but flush all fluid.
Kwasaki
There's good Bquiks and bad Bquiks same as Cockpit outlets. How old is the motor as to your hissing sound, did it do it before, if not you should of taken it back. The fluids in clutch and brakes should be completely replaced by someone who knows what his doing. Say where you live and someone here may able to recommend a competent place to get the work done.
villageidiotY2K
Hissing sound isn't from the engine as I hear from the left front side of the car. I'm assuming some sort of pump. But in general does Bquik flushes brake or clutch fluid when u go in for the service? I ain't telling where I am, cuz I'm might get a hiding!

No, they don't unless you specifically ask them to do it. What car and model are you referring to? Edited May 9, 2020 by Bob A Kneale

transam
Just tell them you want both system fluids replaced...Easy....When I had my trucks linings changed I told them to replace the fluid. Cost peanuts. Your clutch is a separate system, 5 minute job with two sets of hands...????

B-Quik staff are taught the ropes, the jobs they are tasked to do in a particular outlet. Some specialise, such as A/C probs.......

Thre are plenty here. A lot work in independent garages. My hoda mechanic used to work for a dealer, but went out on his own. His prices were always very reasonable. I've had mixed luck with bquik, though to their credit they also rectified anything we weren't happy with.
Lancashirelad
Is it defintely a hydraulic clutch? Many cars have cable operated clutches. Old clutch fluid isn't likely to make a noise. If the sound you can hear is only there when you depress the clutch and goes away when you release it, it's probably a worn release bearing.
