China, South Korea remain on risk zone list

BANGKOK(NNT)-The Spokesman for the government’s Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, has dismissed reports claiming that China and South Korea have been removed from the government’s list of dangerous communicable disease zones.

Dr. Taweesin said the matter, proposed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul, is still under consideration. The National Communicable Diseases Committee (NCDC)

will consider which countries should be excluded from the list.

The CCSA Spokesman played down concerns that more Chinese people will enter Thailand if China is removed from the list, saying measures to limit inbound flights remain in place. Airline passengers are still required to obtain a fit-to-fly health certificate before boarding their flights. Upon arrival, they will be quarantined, and they have to follow many regulations. Therefore, this is not the appropriate time for tourists to visit Thailand.

Is obvious that Anutin should resign, so many things he did wrong and yet he remain in that position... Normally in normal countries when people realise that they make so many bad statements, decisions resign by themselve but this is LOS

I don't think it is his fault.

He just make statements as what he is told to do so.

it is called seppuku, maybe it should be allowed in other countries outside of Japan, when you have wronged so many....

Anutin is the leader of the Bhumjaithai Party and Prayuth cannot do without him and his party. He will get away with most things.

Next week will probably be the appropriate time though, given the government's track record of denying something, then a few days later announcing its implementation.

I'm just baffled where they will find a few million rooms for quarantine, plus will the 'fit-to-fly health certificate' become self-certification in this case?

might be a good idea to tell him to keep his mouth shut

he knows too much to be fired from the inner circle - concrete boots is usually the only way of ensuring complete silence or maybe as an ex builder he could fill in somewhere lol

Anutin, once again makes a statement that is completely incorrect. He must be getting used to all this 'loss of face'.

Thai Politics is like the Thai road system.... Full of f...ng 'U' turns!!!????????????????????????????????

Hopefully allowing those stranded out of Thailand (like me) who are expats with retirement visas, workers, who live in Thailand and can provide proof of that, plus fit to fly certificate, copy of lab report, health insurance to cover COVID19, are allowed back first, so we can self quarantine as required and settle back where our lives are.  Many of us are stuck paying double rents, and living out of a suitcase in expensive accommodation. Costing us thousands and thousands of extra dollars.

It's like they roll out Anutin for the comedy value these days

Will we be judged by passport or country/origin we came from?

Hmmm ????

USA, Thailand...same same..

Given what just happened in Seoul, it's not really much of a surprise.

Wonder if 14 days on a Chinese tour bus with 1 loo would count as quarantine ?

Should put-off most passengers from travelling anywhere, which is a good thing.
