JohnSmith71
Hi guys, I need to go to Ubon Ratchathani from Bangkok and was thinking of going by train. Can anybody please tell me if the travel restriction will prevent or allow me to do this? Thank you for your response.
Pilotman
There are a few posts on here about travelling around and between Provinces, under the Emergency Order. From my experience of crossing provincial borders regularly and what I read from others, you will have little problem travelling. Others may have better information about your actual routing. Brunolem
As far as I know, and see (I live close to Ubon), there are no trains...unless rail traffic has recently reopened...

From May 3 inter-provincial travels are officially forbidden unless it's essential.

Yes, which is why I listed reasons on another post that are acceptable at road blocks. What is one person's 'not necessary', is another person's 'essential'. CLW
AFAIK, inter-provincial train services are suspended until further notice. You can look at State Railways of Thailand website or Twitter account of Richard Barrow. He posted some information some time ago.
AtlasAus
I am sure I read an article in the last few days that the train services to most places was starting up again, maybe this w/e.
