A list of breeders in Thailand - Specifically Border Collie

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'm looking to find a reputable breeder of Border Collies in Thailand.   I contacted one I found on a website but they are in Chaing Rai and asked for a very high price non-registered dogs.

I'm not interested in a soi dog or a rescued animal as we'd like to raise it from a pup for multiple reasons.

Anyone have recommendations?

Anyone with a suggestion for a breeder in Thailand for Collies?

Anyone?

I’ll ask a friend this evening. She has English Bulldogs and shows them all over Thailand. She might know someone.

There is a "BorderCollieClubThailand" facebook page. Could be worth a look.

Thanks. I' have been looking around at family pet options

I had a pedigree Border Collie in the UK and was warned by the breeder that they needed a lot of exercise and were not that good as "stay home pets"..............and the breeder was spot on.

Yes, you are right. I should change the original post to be wider breed search for medium sized dogs.   I think the BC may not be an option for us

We looked at border collies a few years ago and found no reputable breeders. Nobody asked questions about the home the dogs would go to etc. When we mentioned that the dog would be desexed they said this was stupid because we couldn't breed and get our money back.

There were several med sized breeds we looked at, but in every case it was impossible to get any sort of decent information.

That's unfortunate.  I have been talking to teh Thai Border Collie people on Facebook and they are very responsive (also with paperwork) but I don't think a BC would work well for us.
