Whichai Pochanakij

Whichai Pochanakij, who was transferred on March 15 over allegations of hoarding face masks, was reinstated as director general of the Department of Internal Trade (DIT) on Tuesday (May 19) in an order signed by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.

Whichai had tried to resign the day after he was transferred to the Office of Prime Minister, but his resignation was rejected by Commerce Minister Jurin Laksanawisit, who said: “He has worked very hard to solve the face mask problem amid this Covid-19 pandemic and he managed to provide them to 60 million people in the country.”

As for the hoarding allegation, two investigative committees set up by the Commerce Minister, found no holes in the operation and management of DIT.

Of course he was reinstated, the allegation could not be proved, possibly because nobody tried to prove it.

Or he parted with a very LARGE brown envelope.

The Untouchables.

He supplied masks to 60 million people, guess my family were on the  buy your own list

It is quite obvious from the article that Whichai Pochanakij, is an honourable man.
