House

Featured Replies

My Thai wife died 3 years ago. We have a house in Koh Samui which My brother in law has been taking care of. I have had no contact with my dead wife's family since she died. I believe the house is rented out at the moment but I don't see any of the income. I have since remarried and live in Suratthani. The land on which the house stands in Koh Samui is in my sister in laws name. I want to get the house back under my control and intend to either sell it or rent it out. What would be my best approach to get it back. Bear in mind that I have paid for everything.

A miracle :o

You may have paid for everything, but what do you have in the way of legal documentation?

Was the house in your name, or jointly with your wife, or what?

Were you leasing the land from your sister-in-law?

Do you have a good lawyer?

Are you a very religious man?

Forget about it mate.It's GONE.

Contact a lawyer, You may well be able to claim up too 50% under proof of having paid for all of it. And yes, it has been done.
