Prison wardens fired over corruption - one allowed inmate to have sex with his wife during visit

 

 

Twelve prison staff have been thrown out of the service after a disciplinary meeting heard allegations against 15 corrections' department employees. 

 

Many of the charges related to taking bribes and allowing drugs and mobile phones into prisons.

 

One even allowed a prisoner to have sex with his wife who was visiting him inside, reported Sanook.

 

Another was involved in an illegal tramadol smuggling and resale ring.

 

Others were tossed out of the service for dereliction of duty and falsification of documents for their own benefit.

 

Corrections' Department chief Gen Narat Sawetnan said that a total of twelve staff had been sacked.

If they tossed out all government workers/officials for dereliction of duty, there would be nobody left.

Sounds like the prison wardens are no better than the inmates.  

What is wrong with a booty call to keep the inmate contended and relaxed? it is allowed in many prisons all around the world...

allowed a prisoner to have sex with his wife, does that mean the warders wife? if so that was mighty good of him

I never understood the idea of depriving prisoners of sex with their partners/wives. First, by depriving men of sex, they either channel it into violence or into some sort of bullying same-sex scenario with another inmate.

 

Besides, if you deprive inmates of intimacy with their wives/partners, you create a situation where they lose connection with their families as the wives/partners go elsewhere.

 

Besides, if you want to really keep prisoners in line, the big privelege you can hold over them would be denial of conjugal rights! Much easier to run prisons with such rules in place.

Those hands need some sanitizing for starters????

Are you volunteering? If such activities are illegal and corrupt, then there is plenty wrong with it. 

What's wrong ? Drug and sex are clearly easily available in any jail around the world. Luckily !

There's a saying the only condition male prisons demonstrably cure is heterosexuality.

I believe he is saying that there is nothing wrong with it so should not be illegal.

Why fire him? If he wants his wife to have sex with a prisoner, what's the problem?
