Am I allowed to enter Thailand (Suvarnabhumi airport) with a one-way ticket arriving from Australia? I have a multiple Non Immigrant O visa.

Has anyone had any negative experiences with Immigration officials when arriving without a return or onward ticket? I bought a one-way ticket, as I don’t know yet when I will be returning to Australia.

Thanks for any replies

No problems at immigration

Airline at check-in might question it but with visa no return/onward ticket is required

Call the airlines first just to confirm they will let you fly.The problem isn`t Thai immigration its the airlines and each airline has a different policy about this in my experience

Thanks for the positive replies. I had thought about getting a cheap onward e-ticket from BKK - SIN to be on the safe side. If it is within the rules I will take a chance with my one-way ticket and the multiple Non Immigrant O visa.

What about the Immigration card? The Immigration card asks for details about the return/onward journey.

I never filled it in, just flashed my non-O and sailed through

BTW I flew one way as well - no worries

Any chance of people saying which airlines are ok for travel with a visa to Bangkok without return ticket?

I will want to do this in a few weeks on British Airways

You only need an outbound ticket if you enter Thailand on without a Visa on a 30 stamp. If you have a visa tourist or non-im you do not need a ticket.

Both BA and Emirates have checked that a had a visa when I have arrived on a single ticket (or the second half of a retern)

Qantas and Thai International same same.

We flew from Melbourne/Sydney to BKK with Quantas/BA last year. Once they checked our Visas there were absolutely no problems with us flying on a one-way tickets.
