12 m bank history not needed at Jomtein, 800k fixed deposit, retirement ext.

Extension of stay with 800k in fixed deposit based on retirement at JOmtein yesterday, did not need 12 months bank transaction history. Just sharing my experience.

100B for a bank letter, updated bank book on a BBL machine, as I did before.

I'm on my 11th retirement extension now and all of them using the income method. 10 of those I used the embassy income letter but the last one had to prove transfers from outside Thailand for 12 months and it was a hassle getting it all together plus the IO didn't seem too happy approving it using that method. So now doing something that I many times said that I wouldn't do which is I now put 800,000 baht in my bank account and will leave it there as long I am in Thailand. Next extension will only need to get the simple bank letter from the bank, bank book copies and make it easy on the IO.
