Bangkok Airways has decided to delay flights to Sukhothai and Phuket, but has scheduled more flights to Samui, and has also launched promotional fares for flights to Chiang Mai and Lampang.

Meanwhile, flights to Sukhothai will be available from June 6 instead of June 1, and to Phuket from July 1.

The airline has also launched a special promotion, with one-way fare to Chiang Mai started from Bt1,500 and to Lampang starting from Bt1,600. Reservations can be made until June 30, with tickets being valid until March 31, 2021.

Bangkok Airways is also doubling the baggage allowance from 20 kilograms to 40kg. This is valid from now until October 31 to facilitate those who need to travel amid the Covid-19 outbreak.

Shame. I was planning to grab a week in Phuket with the family before the schools returned on July 1st.

"most destinations"? Not. No foreign destinations are mentioned.

I really hope Bangkok Air can eventually restore their international routes.  They had a convenient international route network and reasonable prices, with a big plus being that they operated out of BKK so you avoid the horrors of DMK.

For many years my airline of choice - particularly with their excellent free lounges. And the Bangkok Air airport at Sukothai must rate as one of the world's most beautiful.
