webfact Posted June 2, 2020 Share Posted June 2, 2020 Thundershowers forecast for all regions, rain in some areas By THE NATION Keep those umbrellas close at hand: thundershowers are expected across the country while isolated heavy rains are likely in the upper Northeast, the East and the South, the Thailand Meteorological Department said today (June 2), as the southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and Thailand. Here’s the weather forecast for the next 24 hours: Northern region: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 40 per cent of the area; temperature lows of 24-27 degrees and highs of 34-38 degrees Celsius. Northeastern region: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the area and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 22-26 degrees and highs of 33-36 degrees Celsius. Central region: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the area; temperature lows of 24-27 degrees, highs of 36-39 degrees Celsius. Eastern region: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the area and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-28 degrees, highs of 32-37 degrees Celsius; waves a metre high and 1-2 metres during thundershowers. Southern region (east coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the area; temperature lows of 24-26 degrees, highs of 33-37 degrees Celsius; waves a metre high and 2 metres during thundershowers. Southern region (west coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the area and isolated heavy rains; temperature lows of 24-26 degrees, highs of 33-35 degrees Celsius; waves a metre high and 2 metres during thundershowers. Bangkok and surrounding areas: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 60 per cent of the area; temperature lows of 25-27 degrees, highs of 34-38 degrees Celsius. Bangkok Barry Posted June 2, 2020 Share Posted June 2, 2020 The soggy season brings with it thousands of flying ants for a night or two where I am. Strange how they gather into groups on the ground. Impossible to share the same space with them of course, so just sweep and shovel them up in the morning.
