A noxious fluid coming out of the drains is causing trouble for the residents of a housing estate in Samut Prakan.

Last month officials were called to investigate after flood water was emerald green.

Now it has taken on more of a blue or indigo hue.

Residents at the Suthawee estate  in Soi Thai Kia are convinced it is untreated liquid emanating from a nearby factory.

They want the authorities to get to the bottom of it as it smells of chemicals.

I wouldn't be parking my car in it - the tyres will probably dissolve ...

Have they tried drinking it?

The fact that the drains are not working should be bigger issue

If they did work this would be someone else's problem

All the factories and tanneries  in Samut Prakarn I shudder to think what might be going down the drains.

I feel sorry for the ground table water, it has a real good chance of being contaminated.

Tanneries  ? : with the colour copper or chrome salts are liklely, not healthy on the skin.
